Drinking is illegal and considered bad in the part of the world I live in. I know my bf drinks but swears upon God he doesn't, so he cud be also be cheating on me otherwise? Or can I still trust him? I intend to marry him and not just play around.
Ignore the sexist, sanctimonious and insulting nitwit's comments above ^^^^^.
Do you think its possible that your bf is in a catch 22 whereby whether he is honest or fibs about drinking, he offends? That conflict may have more to do with the culture & laws of wherever you live.
For example, unless he had a drinking problem, what he is doing would be tolerated and considered acceptable in much of the world. Nor would he need to fib about it.
So at least consider the social context before making sweeping judgments about your bf's morals and character.
Sure maybe there is more to this. But maybe not. So spend time really getting to know one another a whole lot better. And if it is you who can't live with him bending rigid rules, then just go with that and look elsewhere.

Why the hell are all the prettier girls staying with jerks who do nothing but lie, deceit and cheat? They turn their noses up to a guy who works hard or studying hard to get his life in order but go with a drunken bastard who gets them more moist. If your boyfriend is doing stupid crap now, what is it going to be like a few years down the road. If you have to ask others if you should trust your boyfriend than odds are you don't trust him and need others to confirm what you already have figured out on your own.
I honestly would leave but like a typical dumb girl, I bet you won't and will stay with him even if he starts doing worst things like beat you or you catch him cheating.
Just do what all dumb girls tend to do and follow the tingling below, just as long as you ignore the good guys in the end like your better. Isn't that all that matters?
If you're asking strangers if you should trust your current boyfriend whom ur planning to get married to n spend the rest of ur life with... is totally insane.. and means that ur insecure about your relationship (no matter how much you believe in it) ..If you don't know if you can trust him..why should others do?

You cannot change who a person is. You can help them to see what the better option is but if that person wants to continue with the poor behavior then no matter how much you love the person or how much you "think" they will change they never will. And trust is a huge issue - if you do not have trust then you don't have anything. I wouldn't date let alone marry someone I didn't trust.
You shouldn't marry someone you don't trust. Level with him and see what the deal is. It's ok to build up trust over time, but remember, liers will always lie.
He probably thinks its okay to lie.
I agree with the above comment , you shouldn't marry someone you don't trust. Help him get rid of the drinking habit or it might develop into a bigger problem later on if your planning to get married and struggle with your marriage.
