My best friend kissed me

My best friend got caught drinking while on "school-probation" so she was expelled. It's been a tough week for her because besides what she considers "fun", she is very sweet and sensitive. So I wanted to make it up to her today by hanging out with her.

She lives far away so I said I could pick her up but she said it wouldn't be necessary. I suggested a midway point to meet at so neither of us drove really far, but she took it upon herself to drive all the way to my house. Not to a movie, not to a restaurant or Starbucks, my house. She hasn't been in like three years. I figured she's still emotional so I went along with it.

Once she got to my house, we just to talked in the main entryway for a while before she started walking up the stairs. She went into my room and waited while I came in myself. She shut the door. "Is it okay if I shut the door". I know my mom wants my door open for my friend's sake not mine, but she was already tearing up so I said, "yeah, sure". Then she crashed into my arms and sobbed. We'd already talked extensively about her situation and how to deal with it, so there it was mostly about how "it wasn't getting better" and that "I'm the only one who loves her anymore" (she said so anyways).

Then she kissed me a few times before collapsing onto my bed (not suggestively, more like completely drained and almost dead). The rest of the day went on pretty smoothly from there. We got out of the house, came back, then she left. Nothing else eventful in the same respect at all.

Wasn't until now that I started thinking about it. I dismissed it as decisions made "under pressure" and something that she would be ashamed of otherwise. But I've seen When Harry Met Sally, so yeah I know the truth can come out sometimes in ways you don't mean for it to. Maybe it all felt like an accident, still I'm not ready to brush it off my shoulders yet.

I guess it's all made more confusing for me because I kind of have feelings for her. Extremely suppressed ones. They would've never resurfaced unless something like this happened. So yeah, I could be totally biased about this ordeal. But "what if", ya know?

Do I talk to her about it later? Do I forget it ever happened? We're both seniors so I guess you should take our impending new chapters in life into consideration.

People say and do things in the heat of the moment. I wouldn't worry about it too much and only bring it up if she starts acting strange.

I wouldn't read too much into it considering her emotional state right now, but I would consider talking about it once things are more stable.
