My bellybutton smells. I am a cleanly person, I shower everyday. I generally do not have bellybutton lint. However my bellybutton is abnormally deep. Anyways, it was realized one day that my bellybutton smells awful. There is nothing in it. Now I try to clean it yet the smell persists for no reason.
Then don't provoke the smell (sticking your finger in it and smelling it). Leave it alone, and you will be okay.
i used to have that- just clean it.. No soap or anything though, just water. and dont keep touching it.. mine was itchy too though ? i dno.. ask a doctor if that doesnt work x
i looked up online what this could be actually cuz i have the same problem. i get this oozing and it gets very irritated and red as well. but it said that it's called belly button discharge. i believe its from sweating a lot. people over weight tend to get it. im not like, over over weight. just like, maybe 20 pounds or so for my height, but it could just be belly button discharge. use peroxide like mereike said, or the website even said something about saltwater. and yes, if it doesn't seem to get better, consult a doctor.
Mine has done that and I have learned to use hydogen peroxide with a q-tip, but do it very gently. Do it a few times and hopefully it will be better!! :-)
not to freak you out, but my mom had a stinky, oozing belly button and ended up being diagnosed with cervical cancer. If cleaning it more doesn't help, you might want to have it checked.
