My aunt shot my uncle

My uncle use to shack up with every girl in town while married to my aunt. Well one day my aunt came home and found him in bed with his girlfriend (who he later married) and my aunt started flipping out screaming and such. My uncles girlfriend ran and hid in a barn outside. Then my aunt picked up a pistol and tried to kill my uncle but he grabbed the gun but still got shot in the leg and the gun jammed. My aunt then went into the bedroom and grabbed a revolver and came back to finish the job but my uncle had noticed it moved and took the bullets out a day earlier finding it odd it was moved. The police came and arrested my aunt.

My aunt then calls my mom from jail, my mom is the sister of my uncle. My aunt explained to her that she shot my uncle and she was in jail. My mom went to go bail her out of jail. On the way home my aunt explained to my mom that she is going to murder my uncle. My father called her lawyer and told him to talk to his client that shes gonna murder my uncle. Long story short my uncle was in the hospital and she couldnt finish him off there.

My other uncle was the assistant chief of police at the time and contacted the sheriff and got him to drop the charges. Did my uncle deserve to get shot? This happened a long time ago.
