Therefore he has nothing to prove to anyone and can call his parents whatever he wants.

Personally I think the problem isn't him.
Especially if you think that calling his parents "mummy & daddy" mean he's not a real man. Or that "real men don't cry"

News flash for you, girl.. men DO cry. Not as much as us women do no, but there are some things in life that will make even the toughest man cry.

My brothers and I all call are parents mum/mummy/mommy and daddy. It's not abnormal, it doesn't sound stupid or immature either. To us, those are kind of just..their names lol.

Imagine if ur husband calling you a b***h or ho instead of honey or sweetheart; how would you feel about that? If he doesnt call his parents mommy or daddy WTF should he call them? Adam & Eve?

There is nothing normal about calling your mother "Mummy" that's an Egyptian dead person whose all wrapped up.

Yeah it's totally normal. He grew up calling them that, so after years of that the names stayed. Nothing wrong with that. I'm sure it would not be normal for him to call them by their first names unless they were not close. It's a good thing.

Ask him if he ever had incest with "mummy" or "daddy"

I called my Dad "Daddy" longer than a lot of people, and made a conscious effort to start calling him Dad instead since that's less childish and open to ridicule. It's a strange unwritten rule that people should progress from saying Mummy and Daddy to Mum and Dad, and I guess not everybody adheres to it.

You should accept his idiosyncrasies and realise it's your idea of masculinity that needs to be addressed, not his innocent habit. It might sound like baby-speak but it's simply an aspect of his family that differs from yours. Some people call their Mum and Dad 'Ma and Pa', 'Mam and Da', 'Mother and Father' etc. He's still the man you married.
