It's very likely it was an innocent gift. Maybe he found it, mistook it for hers and she took possession of it anyway. Talk to your daughter, I assume the man hasn't gotten far, so see if you can talk to him if her story doesn't add up.
This is hardly bad parenting. Kids meet many people while at school, walking home, out with friends, at movies, etc. 'What's she doing out of your sight?' is a silly question in today's culture where we work full days, and pay for daycares..

i would ask your daughter exactly who how and when she met this man and why he gave her the bracelet. A few years back, I had a friend from church whom I met when I was younger (he was a friend of my sister's) and then as the years passed he started doing drugs and dealing and hanging out with a bad croud. Suddenly he started hanging around me and giing me gifts (he was 29 and I was 14) I thought he was just being nice but it turned out he was obsessed with me. I was too scared to tell my mom but luckily she noticed it herself. he even asked me to marry him. it was really isturbing. i tellyou this because it could develop into something more if you are not informed. So talk to your kid. find out what the deal is. maybe its inocent bu you have to be ready if its not.
