Mutual sex that turned into love. now he's flat out using me.

January of last year I started having sex with a guy and I figured well keep it as that. As a year and a half went on of course feelings found their way into our relationship, he was the one to state it first. Our relationship became estranged due to his lack of communication not to mention showing up at times we agreed on. I began to realize and I already knew the Golden Rule not to sleep with a man and expect him to take you seriously. With that being said silly me I honestly beleived that we can keep it at mutual sex with a few dates. He began to stand me up so much and disappear for months at a time with each disappearance lasting longer and longer. I've gotten my number changed, and erased his so I can no longer contact him. Then he called my job. I instantly became hooked again. Time went on and we continued to hit it off. He disappeared I got tired blocked his number and luckily purchased a new car and got a new job all at once so he couldnt find me. Unfortunately I just blocked his number and didnt change it. I didnt think he would call from a different phone so he found me. Were coming up on the 1 1/2 mark and now it seems as if he is literally using me just to have a meal and a place to clear his head. Through out our time of knowing each other he never really helped me when I needed it or came over when I wanted him to. Everything was always done at his convenience. Is it normal to like someone so much you allow them to use you?
