hi muslim people,
i was wondering if you get bullied and discriminated against a lot, particularly for being muslim or looking middle eastern?
I just want to know so I can appreciate the gravity of the situation

It's horrible, if people are being bullied and discriminated against for being muslims. This happens quite often.
It is also horrible, if people are being bullied or discriminated against for not being muslims or for criticising religion (yes, this happens too).
You can't expect people to be accepting of EVERYTHING. This is illogical thinking. There will always be judgmental people no matter how much society will try to straighten these things out. You can somehow educate people but cannot change their traits they are born with. It wouldn't even be fair because it would meant you would brainwash them.
For example there are a lot of people who find gay people repulsive. And even if apparently they learn to accept them, they still don't feel comfortable with gays being around them. You can't change that. As long as heterosexuality will be the norm, gay people will always be judged and criticized. The same would be if the situation is reversed. If most people were gay, then straight people would be looked down upon and discriminated against. This is just human nature.You can't forcibly change that. People will always feel and adversity to the unusual. It's absurd to expect absolute harmony and balance because nature has a lot of imperfections. We just have to accept that. People are pieces of shit, no matter what religion, sexual orientation, beliefs, race they have. We need to stop overestimating humans. No. We are not capable of being better than that. Deal with it!
We can deal with it by making it illegal. Did you know that homosexuality is punishable by death in several countries? And that those are mostly muslim theocracies? It is in no way a coincidence.
Theocracies value religion over common sense. And since all (or most) religions are not very fond of sodomy, it leads to the murder of people who haven't done ANYTHING to hurt ANYBODY.
Individual religion is not a problem. Political and cultural islam (honor killing? honor rape?) are.
This is why no country ever should mix politics with religion. It is ridiculous to rule a country based on an outdated fictitious book, be it the bible, quran, talmud or any other thing.

I agree that extremism is stupid but i was talking about the western world making a big fuss about mediocre things like someone saying the word "faggot" and everyone being offended and wanting to get the word banned. This is also illogical and retarded and tends to become extremism as well. Restricting people by making superficial things like ignorance and obscene language illegal is basically denying people their freedom of speech. Restricting people by denying them to act based on their natural instinct and what they've been taught by society creates confusion and does nothing but achieve the exact opposite of what this action's initial goal was. It's like religious extremism, just more in a docile way. We're all living in an invisible prison really.
Why don't they take measures in banning alcohol?, because we all know that alcohol causes most deaths, and it's still legal. The government is hypocritical as fuck! They're killing people indirectly. They're doing the same thing that muslims do. There are more violent deaths in the USA than in most muslim countries combined! And that is a fact!
I think the only trait that we could really get rid of is hypocrisy.
