Multiple tattoos a turn off

This won't make me popular but I find guys with more than small easily hidden tattoos a turn off. It looks criminal and low ass. I think people who are covered in tattoos do it for attention and I dislike the attention seekers.. I also think it's weird to willingly get pricked with needles thousands of times. I considered getting a tattoo but haven't yet.

I find them very inattractive, personally. I almost see them as stains, and it never told me good things about a person.

@Stopandthink ...Well then aren't you the narrow minded one ! Ya sure some idiots get tattoos with names of their lovers/family members etc and then those relationships never last. Then there are others who get them because of what they have experienced in life and basically its their own personal choice ! Some people get them in college perhaps (like me) who were young and Dom and thinking about how "you only live once"Hell yes you do a So you make mistakes ,it does not mean that im not a good person ! Your judging people on some ink on their body that could present a whole other different time period where they were this whole other person, people change all the time.Your stereotyping really , thinking about those guys fresh from jail with massive tattoos on their arms !Haha ! You sound like a intellectual human being ! Wake up and smell the 21st century.

I don't care for them myself. I don't have any and I can't think of something I would want on my body for the rest of eternity. I especially don't like them on women. But That is their choice and I don't hold it against them. I will not chastize them for having them, but I would never date a woman who is inked up. I think if you are going to have tattoos, make it a work of art like the yakusa body tattoos. Not a bunch of different tats that make no sense.

Don't care for them at all and surprised how popular they have become as a fashion accessory.....a permanent one. I mean, who would even consider a hairdo that lasted forever?

I got a mullet in in 1987 and I've been stuck with it ever since.
It's just so expensive and painful to remove.

"You're gonna stand there, ownin' a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistlin' bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser?"

I love tattoos on most people but the heavily tattooed look is something I think only works on certain people,

I find they suit some people way more than others. Some people look great with ink. Trouble is what looks great now is probably gonna look shit in 2025.

Tattoos are so popular now that it's hard to see a tattooed person as anything other than a sheep following a trend. It's almost at the point now, that Not having a tattoo says more about a person than having one.
By the same token, they don't stand out as much anymore, so I don't really notice or care that much.
But still, I'd be much less attracted to someone with big obvious tattoos than I would be without them.

I think the concept of tattoos is beautiful.

IMO there's nothing attractive about jailhouse tats. They are boring and repetitive; absolutely no creativity there.
Tasteful and creative one of a kind tats can be really interesting, but picking them out of a book just makes someone another one of the crowd, which kinda goes against what tats are supposed to signify. Go figure.

I suppose criminals tend to have lots of tattoos but then again a lot of them do not . I also know lot's of criminals wear jeans and shoes and drink orange juice .. does that make the rest of us who do criminals or "low ass" if you do not like them , fine .. avoid them but contrary to your belief I want lots of tattoo's because I appreciate the beauty of them especially Japanese art as well as the symbolism behind them and want to carry that art with it . I think it's natural to share that artwork with those around you when they ask but it doesn't mean I am spending the money for attention? there are a lot cheaper ways of getting attention from people and I don't think tattoo's is the most common .

    • I'm the same I want to have a ton of tattoos as well and it absolutely has nothing to do with attention. Any of the tattoos I get done have a meaning behind them and is a piece of art I carry with me. The attention seeking comment she made bugged me.

I can relate with you , I definitely didn't enjoy being labelled a "low ass" for enjoying lots of ink depicting great works of art and symbolism which make me happy to carry around ... especially memorial tattoos for lost loved ones I am proud to carry with me at all times . It seemed pretty ignorant , hopefully their perspective opens up and humbles them for the future .

I don't know what to tell you , I can't say the feeling is mutual . The best advice I can give is to simply not date men with tattoos since you do not like them and us men who love tattoos will date women who do appreciate them .

I find tattoos on women a turn off, and I do tend to judge men with tattoos as a bit stupid until proven otherwise.

Good for bikers and military men. That's it. Women who have tattoos look disgusting.

The tats I like the best are invisible ones... I am absolutely covered in them. I think any tat that you can see usually looks terrible. The only tatoo I ever liked was a fake face on the back of this bald dude's head - hilarious! Still, if they make you happy, then ink up folks!

I don't mind some tattoos but there is such a thing as overdoing it. Tattooed penis? No way:/

Multiple tattoos are a turn off. Why doesn't a singular tattoo turn you off?

    • It's the excess of something which bothers me. One or two with special meaning is ok but it seems some become almost addicted to getting tattoos.

      Comment Hidden ( show )
  • I personally find them attractive but again that is personal preference. To each their own.Your statement that you think they get them for attention is a little unfair. I could easily say that you do your hair and makeup for attention. The way you dress is for attention. If they bother you that bad don't date someone with tattoos. But in the mean time you should work on not being so judgmental about it.

Um, who cares? What turns you off and on is your business. If lots of tattoos turn you off then don't date guys with lots of tattoos.
