My mother is losing hearing.And tells us that the hearing guy says there there is nothing wrong with it what a load of bull when she has the t.v volume on about 40.And because of this no one else in the house gets peace.And when you ask her to turn it down she gets the shits.
So you're saying your own mother is losing one of her five senses and your chief concern is not getting enough peace? Wow, nice! If she were dying of cancer, would you complain about her throwing up all the time?
The hearing guy? Seriously. Maybe you should take her to a doctor yourself, get her ears checked
Could be a buildup of earwax. There's an episode of "As Time Goes By", where the family thinks Lionel is going deaf and he thinks that Jean is going blind. It turns out that Lionel really wasn't going deaf. He had a build up of earwax. I used to frequently get them as a child. Now if I get them, they eventually right themselves. But the first time I got it, I thought I was going deaf. It was terrifying.

Shut up! My mother is just being a total whore. She does not want to admit hearing loss because it would disturb her drug sessions. I wish she would die!
I have the same problem!! I've been to hearing specialists and have had my hearing tested, and it's fine. BUT, if there is any background noise of any kind I find it nearly impossible to hear the person next to me. I didn't realize how loud I listen to my music in the car until my teenage daughter said something!!!
Maybe you can try buying tampons.
Loud sounds are bad for the ears. (I don't know if your tv can be loud enough to that, but if it bothers you and the others, tampons may be a good solution...)
How small are the tampons available were you live??? Alternatively, how big are your earholes?
My mind is boggling at people using tampons for earplugs ... or am I missing a deadly subtle joke?
Yeah that's a good idea. It would be fucking stupid to use earplugs when there are tampons to be bought.
You might try being a little more sensitive to your mother's needs and feelings! When parents start aging and begin to have a hearing loss and/or other physical problems it can be a difficult thing for them to admit. Perhaps if you were a bit more understanding and tried to show your mom that you care about her and want to help her, she might respond better. She needs to make an appointment with either an Audiologist or an Ear,Nose,and Throat specialist. Usually ENT specialists will have an audiologist working in their office too.
Really I think my mother likes to be a pain in theback side and I am shore she loves pissing me off.
