Most of the nuns as administers in convents are scary. do you feel so?

I studied in a convent up to standard 1. That period was a nightmare for me, the nuns and of course some teachers being very rude to me with physical abuse. Then I was shifted to a state school where teachers were at least not monsters, I could catch up with my studies and soon I started to become the topper in the class. I put my children in a convent where again by elder child was made to remove her cloths in the first month of admission just because she was speaking to her friend in the local language. Again I had to change her school. I dont know why nuns are made as principals/headmistresses who dont understand the child psychology because they dont have their own kid to understand. The authorities should seriously think about this.
