Most of my diet is wild game.

Brook trout, crayfish, clams, squirrels, rabbits, woodchucks, 'coon, grouse, turkey, ducks, deer, bear, and more. Wild game accounts for more than half of my diet. I am not some Indian on a reservation, I live in a fairly large town and work at a department store. Hunting and fishing are my favorite hobbies, and I have lots of free time. Killing and eating an animal is a special feeling, it makes me feel "wild and free", as corny as that sounds. How common is it for other "normal" Americans to have a diet like mine? Comments appreciated.

not too common but normal.i would say it's weird that you kill so much but since you are using it that is not bad. i would never be able to kill anything but i think it would be fun to live of your own game and all that sounds delicious... and better that you know where it came from

I don't know if this is normal. Or healthy. Eating too much meat isn't good for you, it exceeds your percent daily value of meat and protein. There is nothing wrong with liking to hunt and eat your game, but perhaps you should try to make your hunting trips a little less frequent so you can live out a long, healthy life.

    • That is completely untrue. The problem is that most people today do not expend enough energy to make use of the energy in meat, and thus grow fat. Many groups of people throughout history, such as most of the Native Americans, have had a diet that was predominantly or even completely carnivorous, and enjoyed spectacular health and longevity.

Blithe you are completely ignorant, all 'game' meats are very lean sources of protein. Deer is much healthier than beef. 'Exceeds daily protein' what the fuck? I've never heard of too much protein. Im a fighter and my nutrionist has me eating around 250 grams a day of protein and I weigh 195lbs. I guarentee im much healthier than you are.

It's normal, and not bad. That's how people used to live when they weren't lazy, fat asses. There haven't always been grocery stores.

LMAO. I only eat one of those "wild games" you listed. However, I'm sure it's normal. If I hunted animals I'm sure I would want to sample them too.
