More productive on pot?

I've always smoked pot every now and then since i was 16 or so, but recently i failed a college coarse (I'm 19 now) and had to retake it over the summer. It was a basic design coarse that requires at least 30-40+ hours a week to pass. Pretty much every day about a month before the class started, me and my friend would smoke pot each night. When class started i had stopped smoking for maybe a couple weeks, then i started up again and smoked pretty much every day at least once a day. I finished the summer semester with an A+ in the class that I had failed the first time around.
I don't want to say that it made me more productive, but I think it helped me be creative and make better choices and move forward in my designs. I honestly believe that pot made all the difference
in my grade. Is that normal?

I find some strands make me tired... and others make me more productive. So I guess it depends on the situation and the strand.

it only helps when you do creative work...so it's not ok to get stoned when you're working as a fitness instructor :))

    What strains makeyou productive?
So far I can tell the one that smells nicer and more "lemony" is more helpful.
(i think I've only tried two kinds, the other made me sleepy)

I think it's completely normal. My fiancee smokes up before he cleans so that he will keep focused on cleaning instead of getting distracted by TV or something he picks up that he'd become distracted by. It probably helped you concentrate. You probably have ADD. He's taking "Concerta"? an adult ADD medication to help him focus. He's night and day with it, as if he had just finished smoking weed. He stays on task. Maybe look into it?

I had suspected before that weed could help with add, but haven't found much info. about it.
Has he consulted a doctor or shrink about this? Or you just can tell by experience?

I've been wanting to use pot for concentrating but needed to confirm.

Like everyone else said..pot is very good for creativity and interest...but don't do everything high...its just natural to do things normal.

I get more productive when I smoke weed, and I'm a very creative person, I mostly draw cartoons and strips, but I find getting high helps relax me and help me focus on the one task in front of me.

I learned to weld while very very high,

whenever I had someone to teach me or doing exercises I got high on pot and I learned so fast and I understood on a deep level how welding worked and developped an intimate knowledge of welding in just a few dozens hours

every "career" welder I met are impressed by my skills considering how little I time since I started welding

in the right mind set I am absolutely certain that pot is a awesome learning enhancing tool

Wow, I'd be scared of doing something potentially dangerous while high.
I'd be worried of causing an accident or get in any trouble, I'm already clumsy as it is!

      What strain do you smoke?

All my friends are potheads, and they all say it makes them more productive. It seems weird to me, because the few times I've used pot, it's made me totally worthless, I basically just zone out for like an hour and then fall asleep. But most potheads I've talked to say it helps them.

I have that doubt too. What if it's their perception but they aren't really getting more done?
Have they given you concrete examples?

It just makes me take a second and think. And as soon as I get a plan I'm gone ha. I'll get in a zone and be happier.

When you're stoned, your brain is stimulated in the same way as when you are in a deep meditative state; the alpha (creative) and theta (reflective/flowing ideas) brainwaves. So, if you are studying while you are in this state, then you ARE more creative.

I have found it's an effective tool for study too, but I've had to follow it with some light, non-stoned, studying to completely cement it in my memory. It definitely cuts down on the volume of studying I'd have to do though.

Can i use pot to help me meditate?
This is my absurd question: Would that be cheating?

I'll agree with that. I get a lot of stuff done when I smoke. I'm like, in the zone, or whatever. I pay more attention to detail and whatnot. Keep up the good work :p
