Morbidly obese and ashamed to leave the house

i weigh 290 pounds (i'm really embaressed to admit this here) and aside from the fact that i have no bf, i am embaressed to go places.
like, i turn down meeting old friends cause i don't want them to see how fat i've become, and i don't go to weddings, to the store or to the mall.
Is this normal?

  • That's the first step. At least you know. Now you need to improve. This could be deadly I'm serious. If you don't leave the house then exercise inside your house. Do this for yourself and your body

  • Thanks guys- for your comments.
The thing is ever since i started taking anti depressants like 8 years ago- i just gained more and more weight.
i am currently weighing 124 kilos- i lost 6 kilos already!! i weighed 130 kilos, then i started watching what i eat and am slowly loosing weight.
I am better now about leaving the house, but stil no bf.....i guess it'll take a while to get some more confidence.
I just wanted to add that on top of the weight my boobs are enormous (that's a misspell i know) they are very huge and totally saggy.
I hate them and feel so bad about them. Someone wrote that larger breasts that sag is normal, and it wouldn't be normal if the didn't sag. But they are TOTALLY sagged, laying on my top belly. Anyways, i feel really bad about them and am waiting to be thinner so i can make a boob job......
    Sorry for writing so much.
Your guys feedback is really positive- THANK YOU SO MUCH.

usually when you lose weight your boobs are the first to go. i had my stomach stapled 10 years ago because i was almost 400 pounds. my boobs are sagging and look like rocks in socks LOL but if you find a man that loves you the boobs don't matter! good luck hun!

well you shouldnt be ashamed of what you look like, ever. but if your that upset with it try working out...and im not just saying it because im telling you to lose weight. wen you work out your body releases endorfins (baddd spelling) wich make you happy! good way to get things done :]

and dont worry about the whole bf thing, theirs chubby chasers all over the place :]
you just gotta find em :]

Yes, it is normal, circumstances given, but why don't you get abnormal and change? Try to, step by step, one at a time. Perseverance and patience will make it.

This is normal but I have said this in alot of other threads today cut back replace your candy with fruit really when you get urges munch on berries or something simular and try and go for a walk even if it is up and down the stairs a couple of times and when you eat chew your food and eat it slower it will fill you up more and you will be less hungry. I hope this helps =)

Are you always embarassed, or are sometimes better than some? did you JUST gain this weight? first off, I gained a lot of weight with my pregnancies so I understand blowing up. But no matter how much you weigh you still have to retain some sort of confidance or you are going to continue being very unhappy. It is normal to feel out of place sometimes, I don't wanna see old friends because I'm way different, but at the same time, we are who we are, and our insides count as well. Go take a walk today. Take a longer walk tomorrow, and so on. Get more active and healthy, and that will go away, I promise :)
