Money or political power. which is better?

Love, health, wisdom, and freedom are just goals of the have nots. If you really want to be somebody, which would you pick?

Money buys almost everything. Gimme money. 17
Political power. It's the ultimate aphrodisiac. 4
Neither one. I'm sticking my head in the sand because it's easier. 7

I have no interest in political hooplah which may be kinda stupid but oh well. I also have very little interest in money. Unfortunately it's necessary, for now.

I choose neither. And damn it, ostriches do not stick their head in the sand!

With enough money you can buy political power.

With enough of the *right type* of political power, you could end up with heaps of money.

Choose money. Having an obscenely influential political presence will probably start grinding most people's gears at some point.

My profession has always put me in a position of immense power over other people's lives. Not fleeting and hollow political power, but real life and death power.
I liked it because I have an immense belief in my ability to keep myself and others safe, even in the most difficult situations, and so far it has worked out very well for all. Not one death and no injuries that could be considered terribly serious.

I would say political power considering that's how a country is ran.

I feel neither will get you happiness, but I'll choose money because you can pretty much do anything you want with money. I'm certainly in no position of power to change anything and will never be.

If I had as much money as "the one percent" I think I would at least try to make a difference in the world with it. I'd use it to help the less fortunate as far as I would be able to, but I'm not just talking about donations. I would actually like to travel to other countries and figure out how I could help as much people as possible because to me you could serve no greater purpose in your life.

For me money is good. The more the better. It can buy almost anything in this life. And like electricity it can be used for good or evil.

Money is the air we all breathe. Being in the wealthiest 1%, I can say that nothing will broaden your horizons, or give your kids an aristocratically superior education than money. Your life will be longer, healthier, loaded with enriching experiences, and privileged knowledge.

True that some people are too ignorant to handle being rich. For us 1%ers, wealth preservation is not a problem.

But politicians make tons of money so wouldn't they just be buying themselves?

Not really. Not unless they own a large business and use their political position to create legislation that directly benefits their company. Now that's politics.

Not quite. Most millionaires make more money than most politicians.

I guess. secretly I like to think politicians make millions just so it gives me another reason to not like them.
