Missing time/memory

Often time in my day to day life I have what I describe as missing time. I will be walking down the street and then I will be four block away and in a hat shop. I have no memory of how I got there or what I am doing in there. I was wondering if this is a normal thing for people.

For record, I am a 20 year old male

Get checked out for sure man. It can't hurt, cuz you could just be retarded, or have something going on up there. Are you making an apointment yet? Quit stalling...go!

Yes. I'm so self conscious when I'm walking alone in an unfamiliar environment all I think about is what people will think or who's looking at me etc. Then I end up somewhere and I don't recall how I got there. But besides that memory loss has occurred to me a lot. Walking, doing an activity, or hearing somebody repeat something I said, none of which I remember. My mind is always somewhere else or over stimulated that I just spill words. But it doesn't happen often enough for me to be concerned.

This happens to me while driving quite a bit, but it'll just be for spans of a second or two. Honestly, it's a bit unnerving when the car I'm driving is jumping around like that. I think it's mainly related to a lack of interest in the current activity. I just don't commit all the boring bits to memory.

Are you on drugs? That makes you miss time. If not, then yes, you might get checked out. Certain forms of epilepsy or seizure disorders can cause these symptoms.

    Hm, perhaps.

Some people "miss time" or otherwise have no memory of it when they're in a different state of consciousness, such as daydreaming.

But if you think it may be something else and more serious, it might be wise to talk with someone who could give you a better idea, such as a physician.

@kazumishintani Lol how the hell is a physician going to help you! What, they apply the constant force of gravity to aid the loss of memory?!?
