      Flared: loose fitting and wider at the bottom

      Tight: hugs your bum

      Pleated: like school gym skirt

      A-line: tight at top but flares out

    Pleated ones are most flattering on me most of the time, so I go for that style. I do have some other more streamlined ones, but I like pleated ones best and wouldn't mind one that was longer at the back than the front.
