Mini obsession of the month, iin?

I know everybody has interests, and some like something to the point its almost an obsession, but i seem to find a certain interest and ill think about it almost all the time, anywhere for 2 weeks to a whole month. this is especially if it is new to me. Its not the only thing i do or think about, but i will find a lot of internet articles on the subject, art, what ever, and I may bring it up a lot, but not always.
usually, after a month, my interest wanes and I find something new to think about for the next month. I dont do this intentionally though, I just happen to stumble on something really interesting, and i cant stop thinking about it. Is it normal to "obsess" over something different each month?

    I sometimes take an interest in bands or TV programmes like that. I love The Big Bang Theory, and when I first saw it my obsession was very intense for a couple months. There are some obsession that last years; I've LOVED a band called Bayside for 2 years now.

    When I was 10-12 I had these kinds of obsessions with animes. I still like some of them haha

    My boyfriend says that musicians almost have to be a bit obsessive and it helps with really getting into ones own music and learning new things. If this is true, i think it applies to artists of all sorts. I get obsessed with certain subjects that i must research for hours before i can move on to the next thing and this gives me endless creativity when it comes to my at. So are you perhaps an artist of some sort, destined for greatness?

    I guess so. I flip flop between interests and when I have time on my hands, I pursue just one of them quite intensely.

    Yeah, i do that sometimes, but it varies from week to week, rather than month to month. Haha i can't stay interested for that long XD

    But i think everyone needs things like this, if we weren't interested in anything, then life would be incredibly boring!

    I do it too but it's more like a fantasy world type of thing.

    Yeah, I do this. I have so many unfinished projects that if I never have an obsession again I still won't finish them by the time I die.

    I have had obsessions for pretty much all of my life. They tend to last anywhere from a few months to a few years at a time. They all have one thing in common, though: they all revolve around fictional characters. For some reason I get depressed if I'm not obsessed with a fictional character.

      Mine arent all about a fictional character, but to be able to see yourself as that character when I am reading a book or playing a video game makes it all the more enjoyable.
