One should always be careful not to make generalizations. Every one has a different metabolism.
We all require different nutritional intake and our preferences vary.
It is important to deduce your own personal requirements and sometimes that of your family.
Full cream milk for me.. and that watery crap for the wifey.
I can't stand fatfree milk.
I'm sorry, BUT
1% MILK AND LOWER IS DISGUSTING. 1% is like ''Well I GUESS I want to be milk,'' and it tastes like absolute crap. If I wanted to drink a watered-down liquid, I might as well just drink water, lol. I'm sorry, but my milk has to have taste!
Milk doesn't have a flavor for me... I've tried to drink it straight from just a glass, but it just doesn't taste like anything. I couldn't tell the difference between whole milk and 1% or fat free or soy milk. To me it's just all the same except for the consistency. I think 1% is thinner and is more watery than whole milk, but I can't actually taste the difference. For this reason I don't drink milk. I'll eat cereal with it, and put it in my oatmeal, or coffee or whatever, so I guess once I've added it to something, it doesn't really matter what kind of milk it is because it's not the main ingredient.
All of these are required tastes for me. I use to drink fat free and loved it more than the others, and then I started drinking 2% because that's what my family drank and I liked it more than fat free as time went on. If I start drinking fat free again I'd probably prefer that more over time. :D
When you try a different kind you notice the difference more, either heavier or lighter in flavor/creaminess, b/c you've been drinking the other for so long.
Goats Milk - Bad stomach and esophagus, cause: ACID REFLEX. If not on Goatsmilk or Human Breast Milk, I must take meds that may cause liver and kidney failure. I decided to take the milk. It does taste great but Ladies, Don't try this at home: Goats Milk will fatten you up quickly!Hmmmmm, that should be a warning label on the carton.
I don't quite understand the whole percentages thing so this is probably an American thing, but I always buy the semi skimmed milk which is bang in the middle of whole milk and fat free milk :)
Anything but 4% is fine with me. I feel sick if I'm stuck having fat milk.
Most of the whey protein in milk is in the fat as it is fat soluble so i drink semi skimmed. It's a shame that the fats in milk are really unhealthy.
Half & Half, Almond (without sunflower oil), & 2%. All of which are organic:)
