If you are genuinely asking a question, the left sees how there are a magnitude of situations in which we have laws that are enforced selectively or not at all and are bothered by the attention given to this particular issue.

Due to its consequence being making things more difficult for a non-white minority they are unable to see past the multitude of reasons people who do advocate for tighter border control do this.

I also personally believe there is a group of people that want tighter borders without a solid argument. For example they state we should have clear laws and enforce them but don't have this concern when it comes to other areas.

Take away all the subjective reasoning and the answer would be and note the word ILLEGAL a resounding yes we need to stop it. Of course it's wrong to allow anyone to cross into the United States no matter what nationality it is, we need to stop it and the sooner the better for our nation before it destroy's our country. When we had the mass immigration in the early nineteen hundreds when we needed more people in the United States now that that quota has been filled we do not need anymore. We also used to drive horse and buggy's but that was then and not now, we need to keep up with the times and limit the immigration ratio's. Of course I'm talking about legal immigration mot illegal immigration.

Nothing. We used to have all the people that came to our great nation and wished to stay become a citizen. We got lax and did not do our jobs now, we have an epidemic of illegal aliens and they dont want to comply with the law and this generation of bleeding hearts do not understand.
