Led Zeppelin can be considered metal, but it's not the only genre that they fall under, so there's really no point of accusing eachother of being "posers" (ugh I hate that word so much) and arguing.

Anyway, you like metal. That's all that matters. Keep listening to what you like and block out the critics. At the same time, don't be a hypocrite. If you don't like it when people talk crap about metal, then don't talk crap about r&b, pop, and hip-hop. Just listen to the music that you like and chill out.

Led Zepellin is heavy metal. Look it up. They were before New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), which removed most of the Blues influences which were present in Heavy Metal before NWOBHM. Led Zepellin sound different to post NWOBHM because they still have a Blues influence.

Led Zep is metal..?? Now, that kid Justin Bieber- now THATS real metal! Check out LO-PAN. I saw them once, and they put on a good show. New, and up and coming band, with a heavy, but different sound. Think they're from Ohio. Discidium is from DC, I think. They are hard metal. I saw them at a party, in WV. F**KN ROCKED! They were playn @ some hippie party, and b4 they started, I was mellow and sleepy. They got on stage, and the mosh pit woulda been on, but the hippies were scared of the noise erupting from the speakers... :) You don't need to be mainstream to listen to good music. There's so much of it out there!
