It's only when I'm extremely hurt or upset when I feel this, so it doesn't happen every time I'm sad. But when I do get that upset I have this metallic sensation in my bones, mainly concentrated in my fingers and my feet. Is this normal?

You can't "feel" your bones in this way.

Sounds to me you have circulatory problems. When one gets upset, generally the heartbeat elevates and blood rushes through your body. If your heart is pumping hard but the blood can't get to the extremities, it might feel a bit as you describe?
Of course, you could be a mutant, as has already been mentioned. Either way, there is probably a doctor of one sort or another in your near future.
Maybe it has something to do with the adrenaline in your body when you're experiencing anxiety. I know when I have very intense negative emotions and or anxiety I get a tingling electric current sensation in my body. The sensation is mostly in my upper body especially my arms and fingers. Also I get kinda dizzy when this happens.
