Mentally, are you wired different?

Im weird jus like everybody else

I have this belief where we're pretty much all the same. I mean granted we've had some different experiences and how we come off at first may be different, but deep down we're all kind of the same. I'm not saying we all get along but there is a potential for all of us to. Because we all sort of just want some same things, like to make a connection with another human being. Even people who hate people, want to make friends. How we act in front of one another differentiates us, but I think if you get to the root of a person, even someone you dislike you might be able to bond with them.

I think it's natural to differentiate on how we think compared to others, so yes, I think I am.

from the weird reactions i've gotten from people throughout my entire life and the lack of them being able to relate to my subjective experience, I would say Probably.

Im wired different.....as in my mind is incapable of having romantic feelings.

If the way my mind's wired is considered normal, I don't think society could actually function. If I ever just blurt out what I'm thinking, people also look at me like a crazy person.

I mean, I have quirks, but who doesn't.

All the same, I do make very different choices in life than what other people do. That's what makes me this way.

I've never followed the path to success. I've never owned a house, a new car or even set up a retirement fund.
I've always worked at something I enjoyed, or quit. When I went to job interviews, I always interviewed my prospective employer much more intensely than they interviewed me.
My teen years were spent with the constant reminder that the nuclear apocalypse could happen between bed time and morning, or morning and bedtime, so I vowed to "live for today".
Wired differently? I don't know, perhaps.

While I will agree that everyone is different and has their quirks to some extent, you do come across some...um...cloudcuckoolanders from time to time. Not gonna jump on board and say no one's weird because if you've lived on this planet for even a small percentage of time, you will definitely come across some people that can only be described as a weirdo.
