I have a mother who Hate me, I think she is crazy since she never wants to see her grandchildren unless I bring them to her. When I needed her the most when my child was going to the hospital she wouldn't drive 25minutes away to watch my other two. Some close friends who know my mother as I was growing up thinks she is Bipolar. My friends have seen my mother go from Carrie mother to the other end.

    I don't seek my mother, I am very independent from her. I am a married mother of three currently in college to complete my Master's degrees. I just hate the fact my kids don't have a good grandmother on my side but at least my husband mother is good to them. Furthermore, I stopped speaking to my mother because I had enough of her trash. I do love her but I'm DONE!!!

    your mother needs to see a psychiatrist. if she becomes a danger to herself or others, you can have her committed to the hospital for a 72hr hold, where they would HAVE TO evaluate her. she does sound bipolar, if she is, she needs medication desperately. and don't have her watch your children until she gets help. bipolar isn't something she can control and she could flip out on your kids just as easily as she could flip out on you. she needs a doctor.

    she might have a condition, she is probably depressed among other things, like Mando said—dont take it out on urself

    I have a mother just like yours. Just think of it as her loss and try not to let eat make your unhappy. Some people are inadequate and cannot get it right.

    my mother is bipolar and it does seem as tho she doesnt care i dont fully know ur situation but if that is the case then u cannot blame her its a horrible diesease to live with

      Just like your mother Gidget, I too have bipolar 2, and I and mindful not to behave in a bad way towards my children. If people with this mental illness seek help then they would not be people you wouldn't want to be around. My mother just feels that she doesn't need to respect me, my husband nor my children and not be a grandmother to them. It is sad but I am now letting it go and moving on with my own life. There is no need to waste my time thinking on her and what she did to me, I just feel bad for my little brother who is dealing with my mother mental crap.
