I feel so sad, never dated anyone in my life before at the age of 22. 5'4 and 120 lbs. Whenever I am out in public, men never seem interested in me, never even return eye contact or approach me, never really hit on me, and it just makes me feel like I am ugly-like why can't I get dates or find someone to like me.

Who meets people in public anyway? Everyone I know has gotten together off dating sites. Change your tactics. I'm sure you'll do fine.
I would not recommend a dating site if you are a woman. There are a lot of crazies out there. Perhaps some of the higher end sites like eHarmony may be okay. What are your interests? Try joining a club or organization that matches your interests. You never know. Oh yeah. This is 2018. It's okay to approach a guy that you are interested in. A word of caution no matter what you do. Be choosy. Don't pick the first dude you see out of desperation unless of course he's Mr. Right. And don't put out on the first or even the second date. You will know when the time is right. If Mr. Wonderful wants to sack you right away he's probably just wanting to put another notch on his gun. Good luck.

Most likely the only thing wrong with you is that you're expecting something to happen on its own. That's almost never the case, you have to actually do something about it...like ask a guy out. I've heard that can be a good start.
