If there is any unusual discharge (jelly-like substance, or blood) afterwards, see a doctor ASAP. Also, see a doctor if the pain persists, or if even "gentle" sex causes pain.
That is a pretty rare occurance and generally it's going to hurt him too if he is doing that kind of damage. If her belly is big enough to be in the way her mucus plug is there and it's going to protect the baby from anything. Usually a nice sex session creates a rocking motion in the amniotic fluid and puts the baby to sleep and a um...Decent session of vigorous coitus is recommended the days before the baby's due date as orgasms sometimes cause labor...might want to pull out or something though...so you don't leave a bit of a...um... Well, can only go off what has occurred to the 3 pregnant women I have slept with - being driving a little hard and banging into their cervix caused more discomfort than it did when they were not pregnant. When I raised the question with the ObGyn, we were told to watch out for a jelly-like discharge (the plug) and bleeding, and not to get "too carried away", particularly in the first trimester.
