Me and my gf constantly fight or get into little mini arguments over small issues. I'll say somthinf as a joke and she'll take it seriously and blow it WAY out of proportion.

    This happens a lot. It's likely that there's something else going on that's causing her to get mad at you. I'm sure you've brought it up casually before, but if you haven't, try just sitting her down and discussing it, and try not to turn that into an argument as well. you may have to swallow your pride at times.
