Married women: how many hours do you work outside the home?

I am currently only working 24 hours outside the home. There is no physical reason I do not work full-time anymore. Am I just lazy? I was just curious if this is normal.

I do not work. 18
1-12 hours 5
13-20 5
21-30 hours 6
31-40 hours 11
Over 40 hours 11

Well, my hours vary, but I work pretty much every day and almost every night. Depending on how many houses I have, I work between 2 and 8 hours a day, then about an hour four nights per week. Also 4-6 hours every saturday in the summer and an hour on sundays. My husband helps with the night job otherwise it would be 2 hours instead of 1

Even when I called myself a stay-at-home mom I had a part time job and have been in the Air Force Guard since before I got married. There were times though when I only worked a few hours a week at that part time job. Now I work close to 30.

I don't work outside the home because I don't need the money - or the routine.

I do not participate any more in the work world either at home or away for the time being. I just retired from 30+ years on a factory assembly line and now enjoying retirement at the age of 51. Taking computer language classes and hope in the next year following set-up my own web design business.

If I may speak on behalf of my mother, she works 2 jobs at 40 hours. Its sad cuz she's never home :( I'm 18 and have taken over what she used to do, clean, cook, watch my other siblings. But she's doing what she must.

I respect you hard working mothers. But I also tip my hat to those of you who just stay home as well :) That's also a hard job, I've learned.

Most people on this site don't work because they're young. My friend doesn't work and is married, but she goes to college fulltime. You have to include this in your question next time. So, my friend answered She does not work.

Oh ya, but when I'm not working, I'm running around doing errands or cleaning my house or something. I can't sit still for more than a minute, even when I'm exhausted and worn out, which is pretty much every day. So I have 'get stuff done mode' and 'sleep mode'.
