I've been thinking a lot about this lately and I can't imagine someone actually being happily married. I get annoyed by friends really fast and cycle through a new group of friends almost every year. For me, crushes last up to a few months, and then I get bored and have no more feelings for the guy. I can't fathom how two people can honestly be happy with just each other for their whole lives, never getting sick or bored of their significant other. Does "happily married" actually exist?

    I know for a fact that no marriage is happy all the time. But yes, there are happy marriages. Marriage isn't for everyone though. More people than not seem to be happier alone.

    I wonder the same thing. I'm 30 yrs old and have been in a 10 yr relationship. I can't imagine being married. It freaks me out. Being stuck with someone. Fuck that...if I want to leave the relationship then no government or contract is going to try and force me to stay.

    My husband & I have been married 24 years - high school sweethearts. It's not all been easy but we try to work through things together because he's my best friend and our love is true, even when we have our differences.

    You remind me of myself when I was younger. People can change, you grow up, you meet the right person, but ultimately you learn the value in investing in people over long periods of time is worth the frustrations and bouts if boredom.
