Male facial hair has a spiraling pattern

I'm a girl and I've noticed that facial hair on guys, like stubble or even short hair on the back of their heads will create a spiralling pattern. Like a random patch will just go in a swirl. It's really hard to explain, but does anyone know what I'm talking about?

TO THE MEN OUT THERE: is this normal? do you notice it on yourself? and any idea what on earth causes it...

I'm a guy and I have it 2
I'm a guy and I don't have it 8

Your talking about the spirals on the back of the neck?. Bottom sides?. That's not facial hair. Its neck hair. After carefully inspecting my face I can safely say I don't have spirals of hair on it. The hair on the edges of my jaw don't really know what they what to do though(I think its just because my face likes to party).

    Different genes cause different phenotypes.

I guess it depends on your blood, most Americans are mixed race, even though they look white.

perhaps some part of their genes may be presenting itself.

curly hair is common in some African genes, so maybe it's that.

You'll be surprised by how many people have African DNA in them, especially families involved in politics, everyone is related someway or another.
