The way I see virginity is like this. (This is a random analogy, but bear with me.) It's like crossing the state line to Iowa for a second for the sake of saying that you've been to Iowa before. So in that sense, if you're peers are ragging on you because you've never been to "Iowa" before, you can already see how one sided and dumb this argument gets, fast.

Nobody has to know dude, and the honest truth is, there's more virgins around you than you realize, it's just not that everybody flaunts it. Whether you are or aren't, it doesn't matter. Be proud that you are a virgin, because a vast majority of people can't say the same thing.

Many people lie about not being a virgin. So yeah I'd say it's totally normal but personally I don't think its nice to deceive people in the first place. And plus I refuse to encourage you to lie.

Also who cares if they think it's weird that you haven't had sex yet. The only opinion about you that matters is your own because you're the one who has to live with it.

It's totally normal, especially if you are surrounded by friends who were sexually active before you. Mostly it comes from feeling inexperienced or, perhaps, unwanted, which gives you the urge to lie about it. My advice? Tell the truth. The reason? Sometimes, when men (or women, depending on what you're into) hear that you aren't a virgin, it gives them silent consent to try like hell to get into your pants, because there's no reason they shouldn't be able to. If you base an intimate relationship on this lie, you may end up feeling less than worthy of the person OR you could end up feeling too good for them and may end up resenting them for taking something they had no idea they were taking... And if they find out it was a lie... Trust me, being a virgin is nothing to be ashamed of.

People do it... I don't think you should. This COULD mean you have low self esteem and you shouldnt entertain or exploit it with sex.
