Lumpy finger.

I have a lump of bone on top of the knuckle and to the right side of my wedding ring finger. Its about the size of a marble. So when I get married i won't be able to put a ring on it.
Its pure bone and not a gangleon or anything.
I'm too afraid to get it cut off at the Hospital coz i have a phobia of hospitals.
Is it likely to get cancerous and does anyone else have this? Is it normal?

That sounds like something my aunt has. Just go see a doctor and see if it needs to be removed, or if it is just something you can live with.

I have these bumps in my pinky finger. Iv'e had them for the past 12 years so I don't think you should worry. I have it now going down into my hand, and like every 3-5 years it'll get SO painful like it's broken for 2-3 days. Then it goes away...for years. I think it's only because it's growing.

Are you sure it's just bone? I think I have the same thing but it's from the way I hold my pencil. The pencil presses against my finger making a small bump.

I have similar lumps on the first knuckle of both index fingers. Doc said not to worry - but get _yours_ checked. They can possibly perform simple laser surgery as an out-patient.

While having laser surgery in doctor's office, I thought he was just getting started. I figured I was still 'open' when he patted me on the shoulder & said, "That's all." He even closed it with laser.ok Jen thanks I was dreading stitches [in out]. It was in a very private area, & I had dire thoughts! I just didn't watch.

I walked out, and drove home. Slight pain that night, but healed fast.

It might be a ganglion cyst. Google it.
