I'm a 17 year old girl. (senior in high school). I'm dating a 19 year old boy. From day one of meeting him it's been perfect. We've been dating for almost a year now, never had anything close to breaking up (unlike most kids my age, who actually breakup All the time and get back together). What I was wondering is, everytime a guy hits on me I always tell him about it. I'm not sure why, either cause I hate keeping things from him, or because I think if I tell him he'll be more appreciative of having me. I think it's mean of me to tell him everytime a guy hits on me, but I still tell him anyway. It bothers him. My self confidence is low so I think I tell him so it makes me seem like I'm a great girl to have. Is it normal to tell him about all the other guys that try and talk to me? It makes him jealous, and It makes me feel immature for telling him. If I really did love him, I feel like I wouldn't do this to someone.

    I think if you still tell him even knowing it will hurt him that you are valuing your own self esteem boost over his feelings. That's a problem.

    im a guy i like it when my girlfriend tells me if someone hits on her and if girl hits on me i tell her beacuase if i see it for myself and she never told me about it before then im like well what up with that if she doesnt tell me i think somethings up if i find out about it for myself same thing from her end of it.

    I absolutely love my girlfriend getting hit on. The more the better. Gets me off big time. Watching her flirt gives her enjoyable freedom and builds trust between us.

    Yes, its very normal, but leave out all the flirting, cuz that fucks with dudes ALOT...its like kickin us in the nuts only without the physical pain(:

    I'm a guy and u should not tell him when guys flirt with you cuz ur just gonna drive him crazy. Keep it to urself becuase I'm sure girls flirt w him and he doesn't tell u so it works both ways lol

    A little jelousy can be good, like you said to make him appriciate you. As long as it never goes any further.

    I don't think it bad of you to tell him, and nor does it mean you don't love him. In fact it says something that you care so much about his attention.
