Lost my tolerance to substances

In mid novemeber I went through a minor surgery on my ear, to cover a perferation (hole) in my ear drum. i went under general anethestic and had about 3 weeks of no drinking or smoking tobacco or weed. ever since then I feel drunk after 2/3 pints of beer and after one joint I skip the nice high feeling and go straght to the 'oh man I want my bed feeling' before the operation i used to drink every weekend and smoked every other weekend so I had a pretty good tolerance.

Is this normal ? do I need to consult a Doctor ? Very confusing and slighlty worrying. I'm an 18 year old guy if that helps. Thanks in advance.

    Tolerance breaks will do that, building up tolerance shouldn't take too long if you drink and start smoking in excess again

    Now its cheaper to get drunk, nothing to worry about just drink less

    Normal to me. I used to drink every day- and could put down a lot. I stopped for a while and when I did it again, I could only drink a half a beer!!!

    yeaah u just built up your tolerance so much that u need o build it up again. try starting again slowly then u prob won't feel the same
