"Nobody else can make you feel bad without your permission."
Stop focusing on others. Somebody is always going to be better but that doesn't mean that you can't improve. Everyday is an opportunity to benefit yourself in being a smarter, wiser, or faster person than the day you were before. You say you're stuck with certain things, like your looks, well to be honest you may not be as ugly as you think. Go in the mirror right now and name five positive things about the person that you see in front of you. Seriously do it. If you can't find five things then you're simply not trying hard enough. The world can be a cruel place, but it can also be beautiful to, it's just a matter of how you decide to look at it. In my experience, if you express positivity, and smile a lot, then the world will reflect that. In contrast, if you exude negativity and walk in a grim way, then the world will most likely appear cold and damaged. Trust me, I've been on both sides. You're not as much of a loser as you think you are. If you think your stuck then that just means that you're not trying hard enough.
Once you finally break out of this depression, you will come to see yourself and the world in the better light. As they say, misery is the best teacher.
You should probably see a psychiatrist, it sounds like you either have really low self esteem, depression or both.
Love and accept yourself just as you are and only then will you be able to see whether or not you truly need to make a change. If you really do need to make a change you will have an easier time doing the necessary work if you love and value yourself.
