Not wanting to be somewhere that is filled with snow in the winter is a big reason I moved from New York to Hawaii. If you have no experience with snow, consider yourself lucky.

Gosh, I'd love to go to Hawaii, but I've heard it's hella expensive and I'm afraid I'd get stir crazy from the Island Fever. I used to live in South Florida, so yanno I really miss the rain and humidity especially because I live in the desert hell that is Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hi Rose just a quick question in regards to Las Vegas obviously the gambling industry is a big industry there but are there other industries that offer jobs there?

Yes, it's a big entertainment town. I have to admit I came here under not the best circumstances, and so I've never really had much love for the place. I also am not a fan of the gaming industry.

People are free to do what they want, but I choose not to partake in gambling, because it's like throwing money away, besides I think it's immoral.

I moved here from Jackson, Mississippi, and to be honest I prefer the culture of places like Texas, Louisiana and Florida to this place not to mention I prefer living in a more humid, rainy climate. Las Vegas can be kinda sleazy and superficial. It was really awful before the recession hit, because this place was booming. This town has really brought the conservative traditionalist out of me, because despite all the overpriced shows there's not a lot of culture like ballet, opera and that sort of thing. I'm basically just here, because this is where my family relocated. I can honestly say I had a lot of love for Houston, Texas; I miss it! I would like to check out Colorado despite the dry air, because I've heard there's a fairly large Catholic population and legal marijuana.

Sorry for the long ass response. I've still got the wobblies in me brain, and the antibiotics are giving me side effects. Bleh.

I don't gamble either never even tried a slot machine in my life.

But what fascinated me about Las Vegas is how a city spawned from nothing but a glorified outpost to one of the world's best known attractions smack bang in the middle of no where. It intrigues me.

All those places sound amazing to me. I'd move to any one of those in a heartbeat.

LV was fun and all, but I spent a week there on the strip and a week was enough for me (:

Personally, I really liked Cali as it kinda reminded me of home a bit and I was used to the weather.

Never been to Florida but I would love to go there one day (:

The cost of living is quite high, and in terms of statewide cost of living, it is the highest in the country. But if you compare Honolulu to other expensive cities like New York or Los Angeles, it's pretty comparable. Coming from NYC, I found some thing cost more and some things cost less, but overall, not much different. But there are parts of the country that are much cheaper for sure. That is why I moved to FL when I retired which is where I am now.

People in Hawaii call Las Vegas the 9th island. It is the number one vacation spot for people who live in a Hawaii, and a lot of people move there when they leave Hawaii, so I wouldn't be surprised if you know a few current or former residents.

I am 34. I ran a wedding business in Hawaii, sold it, and retired. I live in Orlando. Also Cardcaptors is a horrid bastardized version of the anime Cardcaptor Sakura, which I absolutely love. Please never speak to me of the evil Cardcaptors again lol.

I recommend Florida. There are lots of places for nudists. Run around naked, cool off in beautiful swimming pools, make naked friends. And, the Orange juice is excellent.

It's not close to my greatest experience. But, excellent orange juice, world class thrill parks, good scuba diving, and exotic night life make Florida good enough to recommend.
