Longest time not looking in a mirror?

What's the longest time you've gone without looking in a mirror?

I was renovating my bathroom and took the mirror down and it ended up being off for a very long time (I'm a procrastinator). At first it was weird but I got used to it quickly and it was actually a fun experience. I put the mirror in an unused room, and I'd sometimes go check myself out if I was leaving the house but I don't go out often so a week could easily go by without me looking in the mirror once. I was only checking for shit stuck in my teeth or messy hair, not to primp myself whatsoever.

The experience made me wonder how often others look in the mirror and how important a mirror is to you. After I put my mirror back up, I never regained the habit of looking at myself more often than I absolutely needed to. I found that pretty interesting! I feel really liberated.

You can't be blind and on the internet! Haha, what a logic.
But yeah, minutes because I'm OCD about my hair and makeup.

      • ...That would be difficult. Aren't vampires not able to be seen from mirrors?...

I do my best to avoid having to look at myself especially, for prolonged periods...
It makes me focus on the negatives and very depressed. Unfortunately, where I live, it seems practically impossible to put something over your face when you go out and live an easier, stress free life.

I've gone about a month maybe, because 2 summers ago I was a camp counselor and the camp I worked at didn't have mirrors in the bathroom, and the camp was 4 hours from home so I stayed there pretty much all summer except one week in between I had off in the middle of the summer to go home. I pretty much only saw myself in the waters reflection that summer, and I tried to avoid it as much as possible because no one really looks pretty at camp.

I don't seek out looking in the mirror very often, but I probably do it at least daily just out of the necessity of using sinks.

It's impossible for me now because both my bathrooms have two walls which are pretty much entirely mirror. I generally shave by feel, rather than with a mirror, so I can guarantee I've gone a week or two in the past. As a kid I don't remember ever feeling the need to look in a mirror so it was probably years then.

I look at the mirror everyday because it's right above sink

Weeks, most likely a month and some change. A summer ago I didn't go outside for about two months, I just stood home playing on the Internet and drinking. It was actually a very relaxing summer, but I never went outside at all. I never saw a logical reason for me to look at myself, so I didn't. I remember, though, almost at the end I had to go buy my things for school and I looked at myself and noticed I was so damn pale.

Probably six months or so. I didn't own a mirror when I moved into my current house. And the bathroom mirror is a bit too high to properly see myself. So I ignored it for the most part. Occasionally I would use the TV to get a sense of what I looked like, but it doesn't tell a very good story. And husbands don't always make very accurate mirrors.

Sometimes I'd use the bathroom at work and be a bit surprised at my appearance. I lost a bunch of weight and my clothes all fit very oddly but I had no way of checking myself out. It got very frustrating and a good friend took pity on me, gave me a full length mirror, and took me shopping for a new outfit.
