I haven't cut my hair since December. The idea was to get dreadlocks but I am still undecided. Everyone keeps telling me that I should just cut my hair cause it's too long and wild, but I think like it could be worth waiting and then try get some fancy hipster hairdo? Like, I know that some Indians never cut their hair for religious reasons, yet they don't look bad.
It's long and wild because you haven't gotten a trim in 9 months. And your hair's probably a grown-out version of whatever short-hairstyle you had.
I've never done dreadlocks and doubt I ever will, chin-length is as I ever go, but get at least some sort of cut so your long hair will have some shape
Look, it's a very simple concept and I just do not see why EVERYBODY doesn't get it. If you have long hair, then you have more room in your head for absorbing information and learning things. If your hair is short, then your head is full of hair and there's little or no room for absorbing information and learning things.

There's nothing wrong with a man having long hair. Loced or unloced, I find it very attractive on a man. In many traditions, long hair, especially dreaded hair, has many deep and powerful meanings in the spiritual/metaphysical sense.
I've been in similar situations. I now have hair that has been dreaded for slightly over a year. I have no regrets. Some people will have a problem with it out of ignorance. Others will take no issue and treat you for you.
Really do your research. YouTube has a thriving loc community that's worth looking into. There are some bad stereotypes that we don't wash our hair and it's dirty. Not true. Dirty oily hair doesn't loc. Don't use patchouli oil for it has an association with ganja. Don't use wax or a shampoo that leaves residues. These can/will cause buildup. Wax also keeps the hair from locing. It holds in moisture, which eventually can lead to mold. You want to use the most natural products as possible.
Also be careful of constant retwisting of your hair. This can be very stressful on the scalp. It can weaken your hair, causing it to thin out and break, and eventually baldness. I plan for now on to only tighting my hair by wearing a tam. Others use a crochet hook for this. Or, rarely, Bantu knots.
Another most common one is that you can't find work. This is isn't true, unless you're going in corporate. Then, you might have a hard time. But again, it's not totally impossible.
My hair is like fifty feet long now (exaggeration), but hair is hair, if I want to cut it one day, I will, but for now, whatevs.
Once again long hair on men is attractive. Find you a nice anime fan girl or a gammer they'll love you.
Dont listen to the haters, do you :). And one of THE most attractive guys i know had a little longer than shoulder length hair. Oh damn. He cut his and i think i died twice over. He still looks fucking fantasic, but damn.. and one of my other friends just did the exact same thing. His was shoulder length in back and went up. He cut it to one inch. I died a little, again, but he still looks good. Again though, damn. They were and still are both fine as hell though. Js. So. Do whatever you like. Longer hair on men isnt the most widely accepted thing, but damn does it look good as fuck.

I love the long hair on guys ;) looks good. And dont listen to all those haters. Lol. One of THE most attractive friends of mine had hair to his shoulders and ..oh damn. <3 <3 <3 Couldnt get much better. And one of my other friends just cut his hair and i think i died a little.
