Long distance relationship?

I have a friend that I met online and am really close with. Now before you say anything, I am totally aware of the dangers of meeting people online, and I've taken the necessary precautions. We have been friends for a year or two now and we have video chatted numerous times.

The complication is that we have strong feelings for each other, both emotionally and sexually. The problem is, she lives in Indiana, while I'm in Connecticut. We probably won't be able to meet for a few years when I'm out of college.

I don't normally like long distance relationships, which is why we aren't really together. I have a hard time feeling for someone without physical contact, especially when I have talked over text with her for so long. I have this issue of having trouble messaging people, and when they don't message me I feel sort of rejected. Should we take a break for a while, try to stay together online, or find a way to meet up soon?

    It's all a wonderful fantasy at a distance. Before you invest too much of yourself into this, I would suggest you find the time to get together for at least a long weekend.

      Thanks! I am afraid of dealing with the logistics though… maybe I can get my parents to take me there sometime? I don't think there's anything to see there, though. No offense to people from Indiana.

    I think you should try to meet up. After all, you both live in America so it can't be that far.

    Don't they have low-cost airlines in America? Just get yourself a ticket.

    I think your wasting your time, there's too many girls looking for dudes. Get someone reachable. I wouldn't waste my time unless it was convienient for me.

        Why would u say that? their are plenty of girls looking for guys, Maybe your not looking in the right places. Or maybe your looking for a certain type. If that's the case, why don't u try an older woman. Thery're always looking for young dudes. And they'll problablly treat u good too. And why would'nt they like you, Unless horrible lookin, but im sure u look fine. They just want sex too their not looking for a relationship. But younger girls are problablly like your girl and want a relationship. Ur just looking to fuck around right?

    Does that mean you can't drive?
    Buses are a crappy form of transport, but they do get you there, quite cheaply.
    If you need a place to stay while you are there, perhaps she has a male friend who'd let you sleep on his couch?
    Where there is a will, there's a way.
    In my day, I'd have just stuck out a thumb, but times have changed, unfortunately. I crossed the country 3 times on that little thumb!
