I'm dating a man in another country who just found a new roommate, a beautiful young woman. I told him I wanted to break up if this happens, being in a long distance relationship is hard enough, let alone knowing that a beautiful woman is sharing his apartment. Am I being irrational?

very irrational. I am noticing this was a while ago, but showing a guy insecurity like that is a turn off in the same way when a guy shows a woman insecurity its a turn off. I do understand its a bit different due to the long distance. I'd say just have an arrangement with him that if he cheats, to be upfront right away. If he is going to hook up w another woman, it will happen whether she is his roommate or they meet at a bar. Trust me. If you guys are still together then you beat the odds. I for one believe that long distance NEVER works out. Too many insecurities come out.
