Long distaance relationship is it normal?

ok well i should start by saying that i am 18 and living in ireland i met this guy of 22 who is from manchester england , we really kicked it off even though he lives there we text every day and video chat nearly every night , i am completely in love with him and him me , we both never intended for it to happen being our living arrangement's but somewhere along the line we fell for each other and fell hard , hes coming over here in over a month and i can't wait to see him , he talks about our future together and how he has never felt like this before , he also talks about when im finished college us moving in together (its difficult for either of us to move at the moment given my college an his job) were both very serious about each other and value any time we have together and we want to make it work , i know there is always difficulties that come with long distance relationships and some don't work out but then theres the ones that do? were both being optimistic about the situation and trying not to look at the negatives , is it normal ? thanks!

i had to move to germany so my gf said that she'll wait until christmas and laughed (when she gives me a date then i try everything on my power so i can meet her) .... i realized it one week after i moved in germany. So i worked, i worked every day and october has come.... i had a little money so my friend and opened a small business .... november 17 my first monthly payment.... 10.700!!! it was a great feeling i flied immediatly to her and it was like a dream, februar i opened my own business. I manage my business every day via internet and i fly to germany once a month, so .... what i really want to say is that you should say something like that (a date limit) .... otherwise i'm sure that your relationship won't last if you can't be at least twice a month together

I am also 18, also in a long distance relationship, and also live in Northern Ireland, but I'm the male. It's going absolutely fine for me, and the same way you fell in love was the same for us. It's totally normal, just be mature and committed to him, and know for sure if he's 10000% dedicated to you too. Best of luck.

What if you really missed her and you hooked up and she had no head.

How would you deal with that?

Normally I'd like to type some huge serious post about this but I'm going to say, very normal. I've had it happen to me several times and just as you said, I didn't plan for it to happen but attraction just happened. It was/is as real as in person but that person IS a person, with video chat included of course. If you two can make it work then that is really great, just try not to rush into things too fast.

No, it's not normal. Long distance relationships usually fail. You're lucky that yours seems to be going well.
