Hi. I really feel badly for you because I've been in a similar situation and I can tell you noise harassment / noise nuisance issues can destroy your life.
If you can't sleep or you can't have quiet to think it will take a mental toll on you and eventually start manifesting in physical deterioration.
The bar may not be doing anything wrong if they aren't actually violating noise ordinances but even if they it's smarter if you move because good luck trying to quiet a bar even if they are breaking the law.
Until you can move :
For sleeping wear earplugs. I've tried many and they do help but are often painful after a while. This is especially true if you're like me and have small ear holes. I use child sized foam ear plugs to sleep with and much of the time I can tolerate them and get through the night.
I've tried to use regular adult sized ear plugs but they hurt like hell after an hour. I've even tried cutting them down with scissors which helps but not well enough.
If you've got a lot of extra money you can go to an audiologist and pay him/her to make custom fit earplugs so you won't have any pain but I'm not sure how much noise they block out.
If you want to get some ear plugs to try sleeping with them go on Amazon.com and do searches then read the user's comments.
If you're interested in buying some I can search for my old packages and tell you which brands I think are best.
For relaxing at home while awake wear earplugs and ear muffs together.
Another technique to not hear the bar noise is to use a white noise generator. Basically it's a device (or any device) that generates a more pleasant background sound so you don't hear the other crap. You can buy them or you can use a computer. You can also use an air purifier if it's a good one. Set it on 'high' to make a constant noise.
Ok hope that helps. Remember move ASAP.
get soundproof headphones or go downstairs buy a couple drinks and drink till u pass out lol jk jk but really move or get headphones
I forgive you're ludicricy
But what does this have to do with normal or not HAHAH
well id like to add my job is giveing me a live in position where id get to live for free. p.s i work for a group home. id also make a bit more money than i do now and save $550 a month on rent. so my problem is solved and all have money to invest and buy a GPS system for my car. yes!!!!!
do you live at the Aztec Appts? lol i used to live somewere like that you just have to get used to it or buy some ear plugs. sorry their is no cure.
Til you find a quieter place you could try wearing ear plugs, You can buy cheapo disposible rubber ones at a sporting goods store in the hunting section.
why don't you walk your black ass over to the bar and go kick everyone's ass...then you'll get some piece and quiet.
yes the apartment may be really cheap but geez, get a better place to stay. If its that bad, why not look into a new place. It sounds like you need a new place to live.
Forgive me for bein stupid but i imagine the bar was there before you so why the fuck did you move in in the first place??
550 bucks for a one bed room, damn ur lucky, and f*cking studio apartment without a stove is like 650 -750 a month here, a 1 bedroom is 850 and up.
So as for the sound, if u dont want to move cuz u like ur cheap rent, then deal with it.
