Lgtb and its influnce

Ok.so is anyone surprised by the progression of the LGBT influence and progression this decade, especially with gay marriage being legal?

There's been seemly a lot of progression when it comes to this, from animation like Adventure Time and Legend of Korra,Literature like in surprisingly Percy Jackson, along with a series of celebrities confessing on being gay like Sam smith, Ellen Paige, Ellen DeGeneres, etc.. along with the recent revelations of Bruce(Caitlyn)Jenner, what do you guys think of this recent spread of influence, was it a surprise or not(please don't be discriminating)

  • I suppose it's a good thing if it's giving people confidence to come out of the closet. Nothing wrong with it.

I hit no its not normal because I meant no I'm not surprised. We all knew it had to happen sooner or later I just wish it could've happened years ago. Not because of gay right(which is obviously the best reason) but because I'm sick of hearing about it. Just let them get married really who cares? It's insane. And there are far more pressing issues in the world that desperately need attention.

To me the only thing surprising is that gay marriage has only just been allowed in certain countries, the fact that two people in love were not allowed and still not allowed to marry in some countrues in this day and age in a supposedly advanced social structure is insane and outdated

Woo child, I could see that Sam Smith was gay from a mile away, even Stevie Wonder could see that.

It's because (in my honest opinion) the atheist community has had no political representation since... well ever really, and atheists who have sat idle as well as now ex-Christians have been given a solid piece of something to stand for. What I'm trying to say is, as soon as the LGBT equality fight began to germinate, the political arguments were mostly from religious politicians, so there was a large reaction from atheists to step in. When that happened the atheist community sort of started to form. At the same time it was also only about ten years ago when 9/11 happened which also kicked up anti-religious debate. With the strong science behind evolution, the atheist movement I have noticed has trailed slightly behind the LGBT movement almost parallel. Atheists I feel have supported the LGBT movements as a way of fighting the oppressive religious community. I also feel that the occasion of someone being catagorizably LGBT is too frequent (maybe 1 in 30 or 40) that over time it would be rediculous to think that their community wouldn't get the numbers on their side. That's just me though.

It was made legal for all states in the U.s exactly on June 26 2015. So it was made legal a few weeks ago.

He's not gay, he made the song for the sake of being a subtle satire to gay discrimination
