Large hit makes you fuzz out for a second

Me and a friend of mine have both had it happen where a large hit of some really good weed makes everything sort of black out or "fuzz out" for a second and then go back. The best way to describe it is to imagine and old camera with and automatic shutter that closes real real slowly while looking through it and then opens up again, all involuntarily. Its not a necessarily bad feeling just weird.
