I've been flirting on and off with a girl from work for a few months now. She turned me down when I asked her out because she doesn't date guys she works with. Anyway, I catch her glancing at me daily. I was going to give it another shot by walking up and saying "your parents would LOVE me" haha. How would this make you feel?

Try to shift your attention to another girl. Even if someday she will give in to your advances, it's still not worth it getting involved with a co-worker. You don't really want to mix business with pleasure unless you're some badass player who's king of his domain. But that's highly unlikely.
She's right about not wanting to have something with a co-worker. Keep your distance. It's for the good of both of you.

Only pursue a friendship with her, if u like her personality. doing this is best because if it's meant to be it'll be automatic while at the same time anticipation of a relationship is the jinx that prevents it.

To be honest if she likes you shell laugh at anything you say whether its cheesy or not. Girls tend to laugh at their crushes jokes funny or not as its good to make someone think they are funny. If she doesnt laugh theres a chance she might not be into you.
However that line isnt the best, dont use parents or anything if they wernt alive or close go her this might cause tension.
Don't be too pushy, she might have let you down because she wants you to flirt more, but saying that might be too far.
Play hard to get. Act confident and then say something, walk away, give her some flirtatious gestures/words and then walk away act disinterested. She'll chase after you.
