Ladies, how old were you when you started your periods?
Please comment how you felt, were you looking forward to your periods, did any boys find out and/or did they tease you etc.
BTW, I started my periods when I was 14.

    I started when I was 15 and was honestly dreading the day. All my friends were excited but I wasn't and the guys never cared. Mines irregular as fuck though

    I was 12. I wasn't exactly looking forward to it but there is always that unspoken competition in a group of young girls who starts their period first. Everyone is desperate to become 'the woman' first.
    I can't remember if any boys found out. If they did I wasn't too bothered.

    When i was 12, and i wasn't really looking forward to it. When my oldest bro found my pads in the bathroom he got excited because he tought my other older bro had finally brought a girl home.

    Sorry. I just put that because when me and a close friend of mine started our periods, we were in primary school (year 6) with mixed genders and 2 boys found out and then told the rest of the boys (18 of them) and word got round quick and everyone knew that we had started.

      No one has ever cared so much about my period. Just let them play with one of your tampons and that should ease their young curiosity.

    I think I'd just turned 15. I wouldn't say I was looking forward to it, but I was a bit relieved when it came, because I started later than most people and I was a bit worried that something was wrong with me. And no, no one found out and teased me. That seems like one of the most ridiculous things to tease someone over. I don't think it's any major discovery that girls have periods, so I'm not sure what there is to "find out". It's not like it's some sort of secret I still keep to this day!:P
