I crack my knuckles all of the time, it's a nervous habit. I used to crack my neck, until I found out that I have 2 herniated discs. Don't know how it happened, but cracking and popping the spine is WRONG. I was told that anytime a person forcibly manipulates the neck/spine by cracking it can cause severe damage. I am proof of this. The neck is only meant to go side to side and up and down. Any other movements are NOT normal. The HABIT is! He should stop as cracking knuckles can result in arthritis and evolve into rheumatoid arthritis.
yea i crack my knucles neck and back by habbit atleast 5-7 times aday..i work as a diesel truck tech so i do a lot of heavy labor so i live with back pain but after i crack my back it seems to feel better for a while..and yes my wife hates it..she says omg how the bleep can u do that..lol
I do this too!and I will automatically crack em' if I hear someone else cracking their joints (:
I always crack my knuckles, partially because I like the sound, lol, and partially out of habit.
Its normal. :P
My mum does that but I guess it's because she has a lot of work to do each day, so she gets stiff? It's normal, but if it's only 1-2 times a day. It's alright.
My boyfriend cracks every joint in his body. Literally, all of them! It grosses me out, but it's normal. Contrary to popular belief, it's not actually harmful to the joints.
