I have yet to tell anyone I know about my long distance boyfriend. We started dating almost a year ago. He lives in a different country, and we have yet to meet in person. I don't want to tell anyone about him, because I'm worried they will say that our relationship isn't healthy, or real.
This is a Normal thing.
I know many people will say things to ruin your relationship with your boyfriend. They either want to make you feel bad about yourself, or they are just worried he may hurt you.
But just speak to that person one on one and tell them how much you love him and how he makes you happy. It will take a while for people to come through but in the end it will all work out.
Has he asked for money so he can come visit you? Tell your family and friends. I knew someone that had a phantom man in another country. Didn't end well. Be careful.
I did the same or tried to at least, but people are so damn nosy even a couple of my co workers found out ( because the one kept on trying to go out with me ) I only tell them good things though, even if it's a lie, just so they wont judge.
Long distance relationships NEVER work in the end. I'm surprised you went that long without meeting them if you truly love them
How can you "date" someone you've never met in real life? And you've never heard of people on the internet who pretend to be someone different to who they actually are?
Why would you need to do anything physical on a date? Not everyone is just looking for a fuck buddy in life.
And you've never heard of phones and video chat?
I know all of this. This is why I don't tell anyone, because I'm sure they'll say what you just said
