You live in NJ. You boyfriend asks you to go out with some of his friends to a Karaoke bar in NYC. You had tentative plans to go out to dinner with an old high school friend that night too. She actually forgot until you reminded her, but she's down to hang if you are. What should you do?!

Combine all 3? Go with your bf and his pals, take your HS friend with you, eat sushi in NY, and sleep after the sushi.
why not invite her along to karaoke?? assuming ur bf's friends are male, evening it out by inviting another female along would probably make the boys happy and no one gets left behind, plus you'll probably have more fun anyway. seems like a no brainer to me. why did u make a poll out of this? did some conflict occur that u want to ask neutral parties or what ??

Also, you couldn't get any more of a Japanese selection than Sushi or Karaoke. Weeaboo :D
Why don't you just tell your friend you are going on a date with this guy and invite her? Its not nice to blow off her friend and it would be rude to blow off the guy. So either get a double date or just invite her along.
I'd catch up with my old friend. I ADORE sushi and dislike karaoke. I'm much better one-on-one than with a crowd.
