Joining the military at 22

I am 22 and trying to join the military. I honestly was worried I would not get in since my test scores and even when I studied now I still got a horrible test score. The reason I got in was they happened to be SHORT on the quota for a bill I fit. So I got in. However most people join right out of HS. So is it likely I will be older than everyone and look awkward?

    When I went through basic training we had one guy that was 35, and it really wasn't a big deal.

    Your story sounds odd though, what job did they need you for?

    Good luck with that. I'm dead serious, brah. I wanted to join the Army about 25 years ago, and although I did well as far as test scores, they sent me to a shrink and turned me away. I was told that I'm cocky and immature. Meh.

    I try not to think about it too much, because at the time I wanted to be like my dad of course. Truth be told I don't always respect authority, in fact I question it.

      Cocky and immature? Are you sure that is all that was? Arnt a lot of recruits?

        Well, whatever it was they didn't see fit to waste their time telling me much more. It's harder to enlist during peacetime I guess. Anyway, I'm not that good with authority.
